Nuno’s work consists on providing legal advice to credit institutions, financial companies, insurance companies and other financial institutions, with particular emphasis on consumer credit, anti-money laundering, payment services and life insurance, particularly unit-linked contracts, pension plans, capital redemption operations and education and/or retirement savings plans.

He provides legal advice regarding compliance with the legal and regulatory rules applicable to the financial sector (banking, insurance and capital markets). In this field, he has helped develop internal controls and compliance systems for several financial institutions.

Nuno’s work also involves dispute resolution and other litigation contingencies, accompanying proceedings pending with financial regulators and providing legal representation in court and extrajudicial claims.

Since 2015, he also advises on data protection and is currently a member of a multidisciplinary team set up for implementing the rules of the General Data Protection Regulation in client structures.

Nuno graduated in 2008 from the Law School of Universidade de Lisboa.

He completed a Master’s Degree in Business Law in 2010 at the Law School of Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

Nuno completed a post-graduate course in Insurance Law, in 2016, at the Law School of Universidade de Lisboa, and in 2018, he concluded an advanced post-graduate course in Banking Law at the Law School of Universidade de Lisboa.
