Luís has been working with Espanha e Associados since its beginning, in 2004, and he is the partner responsible for coordinating the labour law and civil law teams. He divides his activity between legal practice and academic work.
Practice areas
He has experience in the areas of labour law, labour litigation, collective bargaining, social security law, real estate, civil law and civil litigation.
He has been working in the areas of employment law and has advised the human resources departments of national and international clients on a daily basis in sectors like fitness, food and beverage, tourism, medical services and technology.
He is a lecturer at the Universidade Aberta responsible for the labour law semester module in the Management degree programme.
Academic qualifications
Luís graduated in law in 1996 from the Law Faculty of Universidade de Lisboa. He took a post-graduate degree in Labour Law at the Instituto do Direito do Trabalho of the Lisbon Law Faculty in 2005. He completed his Master’s Degree in Corporate Law (Labour Law) at ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa in 2010.
