Leonor provides ongoing assistance in banking law and insurance law to national and foreign clients, including, namely, credit institutions, financial companies, insurance companies and insurance intermediaries.
Her work involves providing legal advice on the day-to-day activities of these entities (creating new products, commercial partnerships, drafting documentation associated with the products, for example) and on more complex transactions, such as setting up foreign undertakings in Portugal (through branch offices or through free movement of services) or the internationalisation of Portuguese companies and businesses.
Leonor also works extensively in the area of data protection, advising various clients on compliance with data protection rules.
Leonor graduated in 2003 (Law School of Universidade de Lisboa). She completed post-graduate courses in Information Society Law – Internet, Copyright and E-Commerce (Law School of Universidade de Lisboa, in 2005), in Commercial Law (Law School of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in 2007) and in Insurance Law (Law School of Universidade de Lisboa, in 2012).
She worked on secondment from Espanha e Associados at an insurance company in 2007/2008 and at a bank in 2009.
She is co-author of Colectânea de Legislação de Seguros – Ramo «Vida», published by Editora Almedina in October 2014.
