Extension of Mutual Counter Guarantee Fund and Implementation of Corporate Capitalization Fund

Decree-Law No. 63/2021, of 28 July, has amended Decree-Law No. 10-J/2020, of 26 March, and the Mutual Counter Guarantee Fund (“Fundo de Contragarantia Mútuo”) will, exceptionally and temporarily, be able to provide guarantees to companies, until 31 December 2021, to restructuring or refinancing credit operations previously contracted provided that the Management Company recognize interest in supporting the economic and financial recovery of these companies.
Decree-Law No. 63/2021, of 28 July, also created a corporate capitalization fund, to support companies with solvency challenges arising from the pandemic of the COVID-19 disease, with the aim of reinforcing and recovering, in an effective manner, the solvency of companies.
