Exemptions and reductions in fees for the registration of the first purchase

Decree-Law No. 48-D/2024, of July 31, establishes exemptions and reductions in the fees due for the registration of the first purchase, by young people up to the age of 35, of a property intended for their own permanent residence and for the registration of the mortgage intended to guarantee the loan granted for that purchase.

It also establishes a reduction in the fees for the special procedure of transfer, encumbrance, and registration of properties, by amendment to the Registrations and Notarial Services Fees Regulation.

Decree-Law No. 48-D/2024, of July 31 will take effect on 1st August 2024
